It's been a few years since the 'queer-beer' looking iced coffee hit the road, and you surely recall that confusion as to whether that's an alcoholic drink being served at a coffee shop. But then the new beverage was introduced to the coffee world as the new Nitro cold-brew iced coffee and the trend began.
For those of you who still don't know what the Nitro cold-brew iced coffee is, we'll give you a little recap. Basically it's regular cold-brew coffee with nitrogen, that is then pulled on a pressurized nitro tap (just like when you order beer on tap at a bar). The result is a bubbly coffee drink that has a head of foam, similar to a pint of brew.
Well now that the new iced-coffee has been served for the past few years, we've decided to look up people's responds and reviews regarding the beverage. Here are a few for you to read:
"I recently had this in Covington, KY (across the river from Cincinnati) at Braxton Brewing. It was delicious! We did a side-by-side comparison between regular cold-brew and nitro. The nitro was definitely more creamy and silky. Also held a nice head like a stout"
"Tried this at a farmer's market here in Chicago - have to say it was pretty cool. I don't like adding milk/creamer to my coffee, but the nitro-coffee makes a really creamy texture without changing the flavor drastically. I won't get it regularly - I mostly brew my own coffee regardless - but it's a fun treat."
"I had this for the 1st time at Forge in Somerville, MA and it is honestly the only time I could consider drinking iced coffee without adding any cream. It was smooth and utterly delicious."
Sounds great, doesn't it? Try this interesting ice coffee as well and let us know what you think in the comments below! :)
